What are the differences between PE tarpaulins and PVC waterproof tarpaulins?

What material is tarpaulin made of?
There are many different materials used for tarpaulins, and nowadays the term "tarpaulin" is used in a broad sense—it doesn't necessarily have to be made of fabric. The following are some common materials available on the market that can be used to make tarpaulins:
1. Textiles—literally, fabric in the true sense of the word.
2. For areas with limited coverage, they can be made using PVC materials or nylon-based materials.
3. The area to be covered is relatively wide, but the objects being covered aren't particularly important. For instance, in rural areas, tarps used for covering haystacks can usually be made of oilcloth.
